'3 days of Hero Summer' event | Behind the scenes ~ our fail safe tips to follow when planning an event

A very happy Sunday to you all!
Today we're looking forward to elaborating on some exciting Hero event's news with you...
As this blog post comes together, it's positively Summer-like outside 🙌🏻, whether or not the weather's here to stay is another story, but if the British weather doesn't carry on delivering, we have the knowledge that our '3 days of Hero Summer' event will!
It's an event is for everyone; a family fun weekend inclusive of chocolate, bubbles (the alcoholic type 😉), flower crowns and of course, fashion! Bringing together the lifestyle & fashion elements of Hero is always at our core.
(FRIDAY, SATURDAY & SUNDAY)
Jo, owner & founder of JOJO Inspired will be showcasing her unique, interesting and creative clothing, including bandeau dress, swimwear and beachwear. There are some divine bikinis if you're looking in top up your holiday wardrobe (because one can never own too many bikinis, right!?).
SATURDAY & SUNDAY
Jo, owner & founder of Albertine Alice, will be hosting a number of children's Flower Crown workshops across the Saturday & Sunday.
The crowns will be created from locally grown British garden flowers, herbs and foliage, and children will be able to choose ribbons to match their outfits.
There are limited spaces available to buy prior to the weekend. The remainder will be available to purchase on the day, on a first come, first serve basis. Book your child's place here to avoid disappointment.
Jo will also be selling hand-tied posies and small bouquets using locally grown, scented British garden flowers and herbs, plants and garden gifts, as well as some vintage brocante.
Sarah, owner & founder of Choose Chocolate will be tasting her beautifully, hand-crafted chocolate bars in-store.
Sarah uses the finest Belgian and fine origin chocolate, combined with quality ingredients to make unusual and delicious flavours. The bars are pretty spectacular and once you've tried one flavour, you want to try them all! Come and try for yourself!
Join us between 2pm ~ 3pm on Saturday or Sunday where we will 'wine and dine' you! Bubbles & brownies are an element of life that us Hero gals can't resist and we're pretty certain you'll share in our struggles! 🙊
There will also be...
'3 days of Hero Summer' also coincides with Stockbridge's annual street festival - Trout 'n About, so Stockbridge promises to be fruitfully bustling! From past experience, it's got a fantastic buzz and everyone is incredibly cheery. The community really comes together to ensure an abundance of stalls, games and entertainment are available for all to enjoy.
EVENT PLANNING IS SERIOUS BUSINESS 💁🙇 (NO MATTER HOW BIG OR SMALL THE GATHERING). TODAY WE'RE SHARING SOME OF THE FAIL-SAFE TIPS WE FOLLOW TO ENSURE A SMOOTH EVENT FROM START TO FINISH.
1. UTILISE EVERNOTE
Document anything and everything! With so many thoughts, queries and people to organise, it's worthwhile setting up individual task lists in Evernote. Plus, who doesn't love a list!? Set dates for tasks to be completed. Ticking these off will feel glorious!
2. ASIGN PINTEREST THE TASK OF EVENT DESIGNER/RESEARCHER!
Create a Pinterest board specifically for the event which will enable you to build upon ideas, colour schemes, design and so forth. It's such a fantastically inspirational space to plot cunning plans! Remember, your boards don't have to be public, you can make some secret to enhance the surprise for those following you. 3. BE REALISTIC!
Within the initial stages it's fun to let your mind run wild but be realistic and don't get too carried away. Yes the world is your oyster but how realistic is having flamingos at your next garden party! OK, so maybe that's a tad far fetched, but you get our gist!
4. SET A BUGET ON DAY ONE
This will ensure that you don't get too carried away! Make constant note of new purchases, hiring costs etc. Shop around because although it may take a few hours, you might save yourself £££! Every penny counts.
5. ENSURE THE EVENT IS MEMORABLE
You want your guests to leave feeling individually spoilt. It's a nice idea to offer goody bags or personalised pressies...it's the thought that counts so these don't need to be expensive.
6. BELIEVE IN YOURSELF, FEEL PROUD
Just before the event takes place allow yourself some time to take a step back and breath. Appreciate all that you have achieved and feel proud. Let this positivity flow through to the event so that those surrounding you feel at ease too. Enjoy the moment!
